Welcome to another model’s shoebox, this time Sugar’s! She did her homework diligently and took these all this evening with her trusty old digital camera. Even though she’s also a student – check out that nice couch! Where’d that come from?

As for the styles, they’re kind of eclectic and the yellows are not bad, but not my favorites. We’ve got the demure, rounded pink-and-reds, a pair of FABULOUS blue-and-white mules, then a standard thong-sandal thingie, followed by GORGEOUS boots! I bet you’re just waiting to wear those this winter, aren’t you, my dear? And let me tell you – I’m picky about boots and definitely don’t like many kinds, actually. Your boot tastes are right up my alley, young lady – even if those brown sandals just perplex me.

Sugar, dear – those last sandals – hmm. Let’s go shopping together before next spring, ‘k, girl? But thanks for showing all!

Here’s the shoes she picked when asked to pose in her favorite pair. The yellow ones – who knew?

Here, I sort of cheated and ask Sugar to pose in my favorites – the blue and white mules with the buckle vamps – I’m so picky, right? I like these a lot and wouldn’t mind seeing these in a more normal shot. Perhaps later?

And here’s a bonus – without paint or pedicure. Sugar says she hasn’t had a touchup in quite a while, so if these are her feet in their natural state, what about after some pedi-loving-care?

Sugar’s a new model, a connection of a connection, who has agreed to come on. I didn’t get to take a “FMS-style” shot of her, so this is just a crop of something casual she sent in. But she’s excited, is eage to be photographed, and is into shoes, feet, and all that stuff. If you think her feet are well-kept, you should see her fingers – wow!

She’s very bubbly and funny, and has an assured sexiness about her that is really endearing. You’ll see a lot of that expressed in her prose and poses.

Expect to be seeing – and reading – a lot of her very soon!

Rachel here is briefly sporting a style that’s a bit more racy than her usual look. One look at her Shoebox should tell you that.

That’s all the commentary I’m gonna make. Just enjoy the view and thank Rachel for being such a good sport.

This is the start of a new feature on FMS – the “Shoebox” of our models. Rachel was the first to do it, faithfully snapping each pair of shoes she brought with her up from her small town up to her dormitory in Seoul. She has more shoes, obviously, but these are the ones she decided to pull out from among the many, so it’s a good representation of what she likes.

The assignment was to photographically record all of her shoes, in whatever way she liked, without my interference. Then, at the end, she was to snap herself wearing her favorite pair. She is also supposed to snap whatever new pair of shoes she buys so that the Shoebox record remains complete.

She didn’t have a separate camera, so she just used the one on her cellphone. She did her homework well, as a good student should, and the effect came out kind of cool.

What does one say about a woman’s life laid bare for the world to see, as expressed through her shoes? Well, you are careful with your feedback, of course – this is personal stuff we’re talking, here!

But what I do see is a young, bookish girl (she attends one of the best universities in the country) who, as much as she strictly regulates her time and is serious about her academic commitments, finds a lot of room to express herself via her footwear. For being as deeply mired in her studies as she is (she’s in one of the most competitive programs in the country, in the hard sciences, so she actually works much harder than most Korean university kids), she has quite an interesting and eclectic collection.

She chose well – you’ve got classic black pumps, blood-red, open-toed slingbacks, some casual-yet-colorful summer sandals, and her playful blue bows, which she wears with the miniskirt. Only question is: what happened to the sandals, girl?

One point I wanted to make: Rachel’s got a good sense of her feet and chooses shoes that actually fit them. If you go to the other posts (1 and 2) that introduced her, you’ll see that she has a broader, straighter line across the front of her feet, and isn’t like what many Korean girls want to be but aren’t, yet continue to buy shoes for anyway – the long, tapered feet (see here) that often fit better into certain designer and many Italian shoes.

Rachel’s shoes are cute and sensible, but with a bit of girlish flair and a couple that are considerably sexier. Her favorite pair – the blue bows – that first caught my eye when I met her strike that perfect balance for her. It’s a high, sexy mule that winks coyly at you with the overly prominent bow, keeping it from entering the realm of “naughty.” The same shoe with just a straight vamp across the front is likely one Rachel wouldn’t have bought.

As it is, she’s pretty picky – and tastefully so – about her shoes.

Anyway, let’s praise Rachel for doing such a good job on her first homework assignment! Does anyone have any other bright ideas for possible fun, future homework?

Well, it’s official! We’ve full systems go with our first model – Rachel!

I met with Rachel tonight and looked at the site at a PC room together – off in the corner, of course, so as not to attract any attention from nosy neighbors – and took a look at the pictures I posted of her a couple days ago. I was a little nervous, because I thought that she might suddenly see herself on the real screen on a site getting about a couple hundred regular visitors a day – and freak out. But she was just smiling and giggling the whole time as we looked at the site and read the comments together. So you two who left comments on her the post with her pictures – “jellybeans” and “jonallen”  – she thinks very well of you guys and totally agrees that Korean girls have the best feet. XXX is very flattered, she wants wants you to know, and thinks the whole business is quite “재미있어요!” I’d have to agree – I’m having as much fun as her.

After dinner, we went out to take a quick pic or three, and also to give a little sample of how she’s been settling in after the pedicure. She was in study mode tonight and cutely casual – and up for a few more shots. We chose a back alley without lots of people and shot for around 5 minutes before it was time for her to go back, since she has only a bit more than a week left of catch-up study time before school starts back up. She’s very stressed these days, she says, but this little pastime and part-time job is a fun little diversion for her. I find myself quite “diverted”, too! Rachel’s our girl site’s first official girl now, so let’s welcome her with your comments, suggestions, and support. She’s gonna read this site, so for your dudes out there – be gentlemen, gentlemen! She come from first pedicure to posing for a strange foreign dude to officially agreeing to be groomed into a feet-and-leg model superstar on this site – so let’s help her do that and enjoy watching her grow along with us. She’s a pretty trusting girl, so don’t let her down. For the guys on the site, now’s your chance to be the good collective oppa to her; do we have any unni’s in the house?

Wednesday was one of the most interesting days I’ve ever had here so far.

I was going to lunch by myself and having a good time taking a break from work, sitting reading a book, and wasn’t even out to follow girls and snap pictures. It was hot as hell – as I’m sure we all know, yet thankfully one of the last really hot days, since the heat spell seems to be officially broken as of today – and I was just wandering into the bank to get some cash and some cool air. I had the camera out and was snapping a few shots here and there, but wasn’t coming up with much. And then I saw her. She was young, had on some killer heels that accentuated her plain-but-shapely legs, and seemed to have that cute and clean-cut look that marks so many younger Korean ladies as particularly Korean. Only here can you wear 4-inch heels and a mini, yet look totally innocent in a studious-looking top and schoolbooks. I snapped away – somewhat obviously – and I had the very strong feeling she knew I was snapping her, but she didn’t say anything.

Still, I had my shots, and they were spectacular! Cute and neat feet, smooth pale skin, and a good length of leg that tapered up into a plain-but-perty package. She’s not a stunner, but had a certain sexiness about her that obviously came from the fact that she had on that pair of heels. As I looked at the pics, I decided that I had to try my pitch, even expecting full well that she might yell at me or even get nasty. So there I waited, for around 10 minutes. When she came out, to my great surprise, she was quite receptive and very, very friendly. I even admitted I had taken her picture and surmised that she already knew, which she confirmed. We were talking and had already agreed to exchange numbers, but we were already vibing ok, so I suggested that we sit down and have a cup of coffee. She was eager to get to know me more, and even took it in stride me when I snapped a few pictures under the table. She said that she had never gotten a pedicure, and simply took care of herself with a pair of clippers. I thought her toes were clipped a bit short, so I’ll have her leave them alone and only have them dealt with in the pedicure place.

She said that she always had random guys snapping her picture on the subway, but she kind of understood why, as she always got compliments for her “cute feet” and legs. And she actually mentioned that she would be “really into” doing stuff related to feet and leg modeling. We were both in little-piggy-went-to-market heaven.

Then we decided to meet again on Thursday, get her a pedicure, and hang out. She actually ended up coming to my place that day, where we took more pictures and got to know each other. I’ll post the post-pedicure results in the next post, but each person who registers with the site gets an exclusive picture from the home shoot sent to them by email!

Judging from the extreme shapeliness of her entire package – you really, really can’t imagine how shapely, guys – I really hope she agrees to come on board.

There are a lot of ideas floating around my head right now about how to make this site right. Lately, I’ve been getting up the gumption to talk to some cute girls as potential models for the site. So far, we have a few candidates, but the one I met last night seems the most promising.

We were sitting in the same restaurant when several things caught my eye; there was the pair of strikingly skinny legs, her healthy tanned skin, the bright contrast of her nails, the see-through blouse and yellow brassiere, her sassy walk, and her high, hyper-feminine voice. She was like a piece of overly-sweet candy, an assault on the senses, an indulgence that makes you remember that you’re on a diet. When I approached her after they walked out of the restaurant, she was surprisingly compliant after I explained that I was looking for some “foot and hand models” and was wondering if she might be interested in having an easy part-time job that involved a little modeling. Most girls fake like they’re not interested, but the vanity factor is pretty strong. She was posing and presenting for the camera, sometime awkwardly, but pretty eagerly.

When I got her to sit down and take off her shoes, it entered a whole new level. She said she has size 210 feet, which makes her too small even for Korea. I think this means she’s like a size 4 and 1/2 or 5 or something.

She’s young, eager, and very happy to pose. Think we should make a model out of her? Anonymous voyeurs coming and going to this site – start leaving some comments and feedback already.
