오늘부터 금요일까지는 대락패션위크이다! 서울의 최고한 패션 대학과 학과에서 나오는 학생들의 졸업작품들이며 보통 유명한 패션쇼들보다 무대에서 나오는 디자인들이 더 화려하고 특이하네요. 여기는 한국말로 되어있는 링크이고 시간표도 나와요. 이번 학기는 SETEC에서 진행하는 거네요. 3호선의 학여울역에서.

그리고 우리 패션 다어리스트 류지와 금요일 12시에 자기 졸업작품을 show하기로 했어요. 화이팅!

[From previous University Fashion Week / 전 대학패션위크]

From TODAY until Friday (9/9 to 9/11), this is actually one of the best shows of the year, with the students from Seoul’s top fashion universities showing their graduation creations. They are usually much more adventurous and risk-taking than the established designers you see in large shows, so this show is definitely one of the most fun to look at. This semester, it’s being held at the SETEC convention center down at 학여울 Station, way down on the #3 orange line. Here’s the link in Korean — normally, you could skip it, but it has a timetable of which schools are showing, on which days. Also, here’s a link to coverage of previous years’ university fashion week.

And by the way, our fashion diarist Ryuji is graduating and showing her clothes at noon on Friday. You go, girl!

우리 사이트가 Japan Times의 일본에서 한국패션이 인기가 많아진다는 기사에 나온 거네요! 한국어 버전이 없지만 그래도 알려드리는 거예요. 우리 사이트에서 모든 컨텐츠를 한국어/영어로 둘다로 제공하도록 노력하지만 원래 영어로 나온 신문기사까지 다 번역해주는 건 아직 좀…그렇다고요. ㅋㅋㅋ 그래도 Japan Times이란 일본(처음으로 해외신문에 나왔음!)신문에 나왔다는 사실은 너무 좋은 소식아닌가요?! ㅋㅋ 그쵸!? 이 기사에 대해 좋게 생각하는 거고 그리고 기사가 FMS의 충성이 찬 독자들의 해준 콤멘트들이 큰 도움이 됐단 사실도 기분이 좋은 일이죠. 그리고 류지이란 우리 패션일기를 하는 컬럼니스트의 해준인터뷰도 큰 도움이 됐대요. 다들에게 — 쌩유 앤드 아싸! ㅋㅋ

Wow — FMS has officially been covered in the international foreign press, as in a newspaper! We came out in the Japan Times’ piece on the rise of Korean fashion in popularity among the Japanese, with 4 pictures to boot (except why did they cut OFF those fabulous boots in the 3rd pic?)! We’re very happy with the piece, the input offered by our faithful FMS readers (which the the reporter, Shawn, DID read and said he found very helpful, even if he couldn’t use excerpts), and the interview given by fashion diarist Ryuji. 누구게? 우리 패션일기하는 Senan! 여름이 끝나면서 우리가 여름 이야기 좀 있죠? Ryuji도 여름에 뭐했고 업었는지, 그리고 우리 인턴도 자기 FMS이랑 경험에 대해서 글도 준비했어요. 오늘은 많은 작업을 못해서 그냥 커밍순이라고 할 수 밖에 없네요!

수업을 마치고 내려가는 길, 오늘 신은 워머와 비슷한 색상의 꽃 옆에서 찰칵. 지난겨울 노란색 스타킹과 매치해서 몇번 신었었다. 좋아하는 아이템인데 의외로 신을 기회가 몇번 없어서 무더위가 찾아오기 전, 한번 신어보았지. 어떤 한 친구가 핑클이냐며 놀렸다 ㅋㅋㅋ. 워머는 일본에서 구입.

Here’s a shot of me with a warmer matching the colors of the flowers, taken on the way down the hill after class. I matched it last season with a pair of yellow stockings I wore a few times. Even though I really like it, I had fewer chances to wear it than I thought I would. So I wanted to wear it one more time before it got too hot. One of my friends kept teasing me that I looked like Finkl. Hehehe.

오늘도 니삭스. 나는 스타킹을 좋아해 좋아해.

Kneesocks again today. I love, love stockings.

어제도 오늘도 짧은 청바지에 짧은스타킹 + 운동화 그리고 흰 티셔츠를 입었네. 이런 날씨일땐 내가 가장 좋아하는 스타일인듯. 은색 니 삭스 역시 일본에서 데려옴. 아직 아침,밤으로 추우니 점퍼나 자켓은 필수다.

Yesterday and today I wore short denim shorts, short stockings, and sneakers with a white t-shirt. I think this is my favorite style for when it’s hot. Thinking about it, these are some pretty Japanese-looking silver stockings. And I also still need a jacket in the morning and evening because it’s still chilly.

과제도 있고 날씨도 좋고 해서 들렀던 경복궁.

We stopped at the Kyeongbok Palace because I had an assignment to do there, and because the weather was nice.

짧은 팬츠를 며칠째 입었더니 긴팬츠는 불편하다 >_<. 아침에 부랴부랴 레포트 쓰고 후다닥 챙겨서 택시타고 학교가느라 손에 잡히는대로 입고 들고 나갔는데도 not too bad. 만만하게 들고다니기 좋은 베네통 갈색가방.

After wearing short pants for several days, it’s uncomfortable wearing long ones. After hurriedly writing a paper for school and flying out the door to grab a taxi to get to class on time, I just grabbed whatever was closest to wear and ran out the door. Not too bad, considering. Here, I have the soft, brown Benneton bag I like.

그리고 눈부신 햇빛도 가리고, 부끄러운 내 얼굴도 가려주는 요즘 제일 많이 사용하는 썬글라스.

And these are the sunglasses I wear a lot these days, designed to shield my eyes as much as cover my shy face.

아름답고 화창한 휴일. 시험기간의 압박으로 공부를 하건 안하건 일단 공부벌레 컨셉에 돌입했다. 편안한 리버서블 랩스커트는 호주 flea마켓에서 구입했는데 미니드레스로도 변한다는 사실! 거기에다 요즘 꽂혀서 거의 매일 신고다니는 젤 편한 플랫슈즈 어게인. 그리고 또 역시 요즘 가장 좋아하는 색깔인 오렌지!

A beautiful and sunny day off. Whether studying under the pressure of exams or not, I feel as if I’ve lived a life of study, study, study. I was able to bring back a comfortable reversible wrap skirt from a flea market in Australia that’s also comfortable as a minidress! And I’m wearing my most comfortable flat shoes again, which you can see me wearing almost daily now. And of course, my favorite color these days is orange!

즐거워야하는 토요일. 오늘도 도서관으로 출근하기 위해 가벼운 옷차림. 바지보다는 스커트가 더 편하다는 사실! 서스펜더 치마에 빨강이 티셔츠는 스위스에서 온 선물이다.

You have to love Saturdays. But I’m stuck “at work” in the library, so I decided to wear something light. I wore a suspender skirt with a red t-shirt I got as a present from Switzerland.

톰보이가 될 뻔 했지만 더워진 기념으로 샌들을 신어줬다. 단 실내에선 편안한 실내화로 야호 헬로 미키!

Even though I came out looking almost like a tomboy, I wore slippers because it was getting hot. Ya gotta wear those indoor slippers — especially when they’ve got Mickey on ‘em!

악마처럼 올블랙으로 입고, 안경도 끼고 시험에 대한 반항이라도 하는건가. 다크써클도 한없이 내려온다… 하지만 내 머리색깔이랑 가방은 여전히 오렌지 오렌지.

I wore devilish black from head to toe, along with glasses, to help conquer the test. Yet, I continue to get dark circles under my eyes… Still, both my bad and hair are both orange, so that’s one good thing!
