fashion is fetish is fabulous is fun is fantastic!
I hate dumbass articles such as this. I just read this article from the Financial News (WTF?) — “Leggings, Skinny Jeans, Boots – Are These Really So Impossible For Me?” (in Korean) — and was surprised to see that people still thought this way. If exercise for women leads to big calves, what’s the solution? Get surgery or botox ‘em down to size! This is what passes as a “health” column article. Forget the fact that female athletes all over the world do strenuous exercise and training without having “radish legs” — perhaps it’s genetics. Genes. Yep. Some people just have big-ass legs. So what’s the solution if you want to get the skinny size-zero jeans or slink around in your sheer tights all winter, with the form-fitting skintight leather boots?
Perhaps try another style? Seems reasonable. Newsflash: not every person in the world is going to be able to fit into some silly trend; and to require surgery to do it, which requires not being able to WALK normally for extended periods of time is a bit much. Skip the skinny jeans, then. You can still have skinny legs and look really, really bad, you know.
Hey, Financial News reporter guy — how much of a kickback did you receive for your thinly-veiled ad for plastic surgery clinics? Nice “journalism” you practice over there.

ouch..
Hear hear. I did enjoy your ranting. That article is really crazy for sure – only found in Korea would you say?
I remember back in uni about 50% of girls in my class had plastic surgery done on their faces.. you know what I’m talking about. That is just unheard of in Australia or in any other western countries.
Stupid a$$hole$ that think like that. And poor girls who abide by these “rules”.
Srsly, how lame. I actually think skinny jeans look better on legs with some meat, otherwise you look like you have matches for legs. The boots are tricky, but they could also advertise oh I dunno, boots that accommodate the wide range of calf sizes found in all women? Or advocate for flats, since heels deffo make your calves bigger.
Welcome to the evils of capitalism and scary Korean obsession with surgery~
omg what do they consider HUGE CALVES?
i cant believe they think exercise makes ur legs ugly o_o
thats f**ked up
Yeah — “huge” calves are basically having calves. What I consider generally normal legs are considered Brontosaurus-sized here. ㅠㅠ
just wow. what a complete idiot.
I don’t even like that look…
I find it kind of ironic how when winter rolls around girls are wearing leggings and other non-pants just so they can fit into the boots. for me, winter is about wearing as many clothing items as possible so I don’t die. call me crazy.
Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas.
Unfortunately I have to say that the picture is sold today is the beauty of super thin women. I´m always trying to stay thin, as Latino girl I have many curves and must stay in shape. but compared beautiful asian girls us we are fat, its really a matter of genes.
And talking about surgeries in Latin America, many women with surgery is the new fashion is stereotype of beauty.
REALLY!? i cant believe its that bad! when i see KRN celebrities, i don’t think their calves are exceptionally small, proportion-wise =O or haven’t i paid close enough attention? ㅜ_ㅜ
Well, I dunno, maybe I’m in the minority but I *hate* boots/shoes like that. Regardless of the nationality, but as I said on the Korea Sparkle post about this they do kind of make Korean legs look more squat. But my Western friends wear them, too, and they end up looking like clydesdales.
There’s nothing wrong with that girls legs… but her outfit, dear lord…
i couldn’t find more solace in this post.. >.<
Indeed insane.
And it does not just apply to women’s fashion…
I know men who were getting into acting and they were up by their agents for hip/thigh reduction surgery to minimize their normally athletic build.
Just ㅠㅠ
