Korean Street Fashion Trends: Red Hair!

I’ve been noticing redder perms as well as red wigs on younger girls, who might not be allowed to perm their hair.
In Hongdae.
엣날 ‘너란 머리’ 건셉보다 빨간 머리가 유행이나봐요.
More than the “yellow hair” trend of the 90’s, it seems things are coming up rosier these days.

I don’t think the red goes well with the first girl.
But on the second one it looks cute
I agree. It doesn’t look right on girl number one. Girl number 2 looks OK with red hair though.

진짜 유행하고 있나요? 내가 한 한달전까지만 해도 한국 있을땐 몰랐는데~ until recently hair dye seemed to fade away from the current fashion…
막 그렇지 않은데 그냥 파마한 사람들을 보니까 더 빨갛게 하더라고. Although it’s not like everyone is getting reddish perms, it does seem like, of those coloring their hair, the move is to the redder side of things, as opposed to the orange-ish tones of the 90’s.
This is a flashback to the 90’s. Every Asian person in my grade 7 class had their hair dyed this color. Now I just say nay to overprocessed hair
