Fresh!
Gotta say I loved these two looks. It just says summer, it says cool, and the minidress is fly. And these strappy sandals are new to my eye this summer, and really work. Gotta love the earring, too, although since I have to cut out the face for legal reasons, you can’t see how well she coordinated. She looked great. Don’t know about the bag, though. Black. Hmm. Still — freshness, I say!

i say fresh. loving that patch-work fabric dress and the belt and the shoes (a scandal with a little heel is always great).
the bag….yea not the right choice. too heavy looking and black and shinny material draws in heat. not good for summer days.
as for her friend ummm….not liking her look because capri pants always seem to ride up in the middle (between the thighs) like it’s doing to her, and that shirt is not doing it for me either. it’s so 70′s woodstockish to me, but one thing that is going good for her is that she has a great ass.
I am hating her right now for that. lol
i love patchwork but i’m not feeling the femininity of the outfit. I’m not too big on frills and puffs. The patchwork is already bold enough. It doesn’t need more (like the poofy sleeves). And that white shirt is not doing it for me.
Excuse-me: “she has a great a**” ??? Didn’t you notice that probably she left it at home???
Korean girls have beautiful hips(if you are standing in front of them)…but NO a** ! Sorry. Great a**es are with the latinas. A**es are not a strong feature in eastern Asia (although some Japanese have it, and a very few K-g’s too).
Before we get TOO far down the line of a side conversation about comparative assology — ㅋㅋ — let’s remember to try and keep it classy — not assy, mmkay?
But I feel the comment on the frilliness and girliness of Korean fashion — very Korean and doesn’t translate well outside of the culture. I think I’ve been here long enough that I’m starting to appreciate it. Have I been here too long, or is this just an underappreciated fashion style?
Sorry but: I say FOUL.
Cheap shoes, cap sleeves (and puffy ones at that), plus trashy miss matched black bag = Bad Bad Bad!
Also kitten or mini heels are sooooo over dude!
To make that plaid dress work post 2000: Simplify the collar, lower the neckline, cut off the sleeves, change the belt to a leather neutral, add high neutral wedge shoes (or completely flat ‘flats’), and an oversized bag in natural canvas or light leather.
Think cruise collection rather than 1950′s missmatch cutesy.
As for the frilly white chica boho top: Burn it. Along with the clear plastic bra straps. Ewww.
I think the designer who did plaid best was Vivienne Westwood. I would wear plaid styles similar to her designs; bold, edgy, structural, yet so simple.
light airy dress..nice…black clunky bag..bad…….open toe heeled sandles..lovely..a must come summer ..but in Seoul with the clumsiness of Korean women (based on scraps and band-aid observations) maybe dangerous…..
and sad to see pants that should be (a little) tighter look so loose
Oh God! I hope I am not starting a booty war.lol
@Maximus–Ok Ok what I’ve should have said is that she has a decent booty for an Asian girl.
I actually like the girly look *pointing at self* I am a girly girl.hehehe
@joanna–I don’t think that the sleeves on the dress are that puffy.
I have to wonder . . . Are they going to a hootenanny?
Personally, I like the white belt/white shoes look, although the bag doesn’t work. Wedges, at least in Korea, are sooooo over, and wouldn’t match the look anyway.
Fresh on the left, foul on the right. Unflattering outfit, unattractive blue color.
I agree with KoreaBeat : fresh left, foul right. I never liked the frilly shirt when it came out years ago and the shorts aren’t that flattering.
The plaid dress, however, is not that common in Korea. So, I give her style points for not going with the pack.
