I'm in the big calf corner, but I prolly have conflicted feelings because of the Korean in me. I only really like the way my legs look when I'm wearing heels, cos it makes them look longer.

I wouldn't get surgery though because I think most elective surgery is silly and it's more fun to try to work with what you have than try to look like everyone else. That's real style, innit? Audrey Hepburn could give you a list of a gazillion imperfections she had and she's a style icon. Work it, peeps.

WOW! your old post seem so raw and edgy, but also very fresh. In that, that is what fashion is all about.

being unique and out there.

but I do like the new stuff you are doing, especially since those are the ones I came across first.

It seems more stylish and glamourish(if that is a word) now.

I like both.

Dang -- you can do that now? Plastic plates? Whoa.

I guess the grass is always greener, wherever you stand...

But I've seen some great calves in my time, as well as legs in general, and I have a spot in my heart for all types and styles -- I just think curves are the most important. Size don't matter much. And I should point you back to a post I made when this site was much younger, more experimental, and decidely (but delightfully) pervy, and you can see some pictorial thoughts on the matter. Note the girl in jeans at the end. Funk in the trunk.

What do ya'll think? Do you like those old, edgy posts? Or they too much for the brighter, shinier FMS style?

I have the same problem like ExpatJane....I am also African American and my calves are big, but not as big as a guy's calve.

I saw something like this on MTV True Life program, but it was guy wanting bigger calves.

I think they (the surgeons) put like plastic plates or silicon in his calves.

Omg I guess anything can be worked on nowadays. hehehe

Jeez! A strong and well defined calf (and the rest of the leg as well) is fantastic!
Thin legs = Weak legs
Strong calves = Lotta fun !!!

I second the welcome, and also wonder about the issue raised by a commenter over at KB -- should we open the comment section? Comments would still have to be approved by an admin for the first one from a given IP address, in the same way Bomb English is. What do people think?

Yeah, when I first saw an advert for this kind of plastic surgery I almost fell out laughing.

It really is about an aesthetic preference because, as a black woman, the opposite is true for me. I've always been complimented for my big and shapely legs. As an aside, this isn't exclusive to black men, so don't get it twisted. This happened, even as a kid, which is creepy as all hell when I think about it now.

Therefore, I've come to love it when I see muscle definition in my calves. I can't imagine wanting to get this sort of surgery.
