I wouldn’t get surgery though because I think most elective surgery is silly and it’s more fun to try to work with what you have than try to look like everyone else. That’s real style, innit? Audrey Hepburn could give you a list of a gazillion imperfections she had and she’s a style icon. Work it, peeps.

But I’ve seen some great calves in my time, as well as legs in general, and I have a spot in my heart for all types and styles — I just think curves are the most important. Size don’t matter much. And I should point you back to a post I made when this site was much younger, more experimental, and decidely (but delightfully) pervy, and you can see some pictorial thoughts on the matter. Note the girl in jeans at the end. Funk in the trunk.

I saw something like this on MTV True Life program, but it was guy wanting bigger calves.

I think they (the surgeons) put like plastic plates or silicon in his calves.

It really is about an aesthetic preference because, as a black woman, the opposite is true for me. I’ve always been complimented for my big and shapely legs. As an aside, this isn’t exclusive to black men, so don’t get it twisted. This happened, even as a kid, which is creepy as all hell when I think about it now.

Therefore, I’ve come to love it when I see muscle definition in my calves. I can’t imagine wanting to get this sort of surgery.

i ain’t gonna lie. i’m all for this one. what is the going rate for calf reduction surgery?
