You'll see even more distortion if you look at the corners of the frame. I don't know whether it's worth the bother of stuffing a bag with stuff to keep the shape. Maybe when you really need to look really sharp, but she looks like she was probably just out doing some shopping . . . maybe to get some stuff to go in the bag? As for her looking like the French Infantry?
