Ok, I do have to step in here for a sec to defend crocs. Yes, they're ugly as can be, but so are a lot of the shoes with four inch heels and bows and ribbons that purport to be fashionable. At least the crocs know it, and are humble about it. They don't pretend to be anything but comfy.
At least they did . . .
Apparently they've mated with the Uggs to produce these awful bastard children. I've always hated Uggs from the very first time I saw them strapped to the heels of a fashionista in LA, where we all know there is no call for something stolen off an iceman's corpse. They are the Hoth Wampa of footwear - ugly, smelly, and likely to eat your foot alive.
So wear your crocs to the market, schlep to the store in them, and make them your casual day favorites, but for God's sake leave them at home when you trek the urban jungle to the office or a wedding or cocktail party. And like the ugly/cute Mogwai, don't feed them after midnight lest they have these unholy offspring!

Thank you for your show of faith, o' Janie.

Although you blaspheme by not liking the fabulous pink lady (ㅋㅋㅋ), you do the Lord's good work by joining the fight against Crocs and Cruggs.

Hee hee.

Thanks for the comments!

I agree. Would you wear slippers to a wedding? Or a funeral? Just because they're "comfortable?" Like someone said on the Internet – a bathrobe is "comfortable" – but you don't frickin' wear it outside!

Grrrr.

Crocs must die!

I saw this on boingboing too and found myself screaming the same thing. NOOOOO! Who did this and why?!?

The Crocs just started to pop up in Seoul this summer, mostly on kids. I've been wondering if they'll catch on with adults, as they seem to have all over the place. One of my guy friends in NYC said he bought a pair in Japan this summer, and he doesn't care what people say about him wearing them because he swears they're super comfortable. I still think crocs look like garden shoes and I hope the Korean public will just skip over this fad and go on to the next one (which I hope will NOT be Cruggs).
