여성들에게 보다 안전하고 편안하게 해 줄 하이힐은 없는 것일까? 하이힐은 여성들에게 사랑받고 있는 신발이지만 안전성과 착용감이 늘 문제였다. 특히 급브레이크를 밟을 때 하이힐은 치명적인 결함이 있는 것으로 알려지고 있다. 이러한 생각에서 출발한 신개념의 하이힐이 개발됐다.

Sheilas’ Wheels, a UK car insurance company for women designed convertible high heels that should make driving safer.
The Sheila Driving Heel tucks up into the shoe and the result is a flat shoe. The concept is similar to those roller shoes, where you can release wheels from the sole. The motivation for the insurance company to come up with this convertible high heels concept is the fact that 10% of female UK drivers report that they had a car accident or a near-miss because of wrong footwear.
