Some have been asking the question of whether or not certain clothes are shirts, or perhaps dresses? Or, as in the case of Yoon Eun-hye, just asking, “What the hell?” Here she was, in somewhat gender-neutral mode, doing publicity for that “Coffee Prince” drama.

With her new boyish cut, Yoon Eun-hye, star of Coffee Prince combines a light jacket and a man’s (?) dress shirt for this interesting outfit. To be honest, the outfit doesn’t ring my bell, but the shoes do! Check out the heel! It’s super sweet and very distinctive at the same time. And the legs aren’t bad either.

그럼 - 셔츠냐? 원피스냐? 내 생각은 둘다. 머리 일부러 남자스럽게 잘랐는데 스타일리스트가 아마 일부러 이 “shirt-dress”이랄 수 있는 트렌드대로 해본 것같은데. I Am Fashion이란 블로그에 의하면:

One super ‘of the moment’ way to wear shirt dresses is to wear them over leggings (left -by Vince). Honestly, without the leggings, some of the shirt dresses can look slightly tacky (-kind of like you just lost your pants,) esp if the shirt dress looks too much like a plain shirt (right -by Splendid).

그러니까. Shirt-dresses는 좋을 수 있지만 레깅없이 입으면 약간 너무 셔츠스러울 수 있어요. 사람들이 헥갈 수 있는 정도로. 윤은혜씨는 그런 효과인 것같네요.

It just looks like Eun-hye’s stylist took the concept a bit too literally and went with putting a shirt under a weird kind of one-piece dress. If she had worn leggings, it would have been less confusing, but in this case, tacky. She has the athletic, healthy look to pull it off. Perhaps the dress would have looked better had it been a tad longer but with the “shirt” tucked in.

아마 윤희가 레깅을 입었으면 덜 헥갈릴 수 있었겠지만 촌스러워보였을 거예요. 그래서 진짜 “원피스밑에 셔츠”컨셉으로 한 것같아요. 근데 좀더 길고 “셔츠”를 안보이게 했으면 좋았을 걸? ^^
