최근 해외 한 네티즌은 길을 걷다 한 신발 매장에서 전시된 괴상한 하이힐을 보고 깜짝 놀라 사진을 촬영해 온라인 상에 공개를 해 화제가 되고 있다.

최근 해외 온라인 상에서 공개된 이 괴상한 신발은 한 눈에 보아도 도대체 어디에서 신어야 할지 난감하게 만든다. 얼핏 외관상으로 보아서는 하이힐이지만 자세히 보면 앞 머리가 수중에서 잠수용으로 사용하는 오리발처럼 생긴 것.

근데 자세히 보니까 무슨 큰 미스테리아니예요. 이 사람들에 의하면 이 이미지는 역시 예술착품이라고 하네. 자세히 보면 이름은 너무 일반적이고 그리고 그냥 붙인 라벨이예요. 잔짜네…

그래도 Spring 2007 Ready-To-Wear 2007 패션쇼에서 나왔다고 하는데…

진짜로 파는 것같지 않나요. 아마 그냥 패션쇼 컨셉으로만 나왔고 나중에 아트식으로 또 재미로 만들었을 걸요. 아무리 해봐도 못 걸을 걸요. ㅋㅋ

So, we’ve got the “mystery” of these high heel flippers showing up on shoe blogs all over the western blogosphere seemingly solved. To a lot of people’s eyes, these shoes are just part of perhaps an art exhibit, and if you check out the picture that started all of this, the “brand” names doesn’t seem real, but just pasted onto the boxes; and so far, no one has been able to find anyone actually sells them.

이 dress는 너무 좋아. 너무 좋은데 에에에엥~! 신발 신발! 엘레강스는 하나도 없는 신발은 바로 문제다. 가방은 좀 그렇지만 완전한 X는 아니야… 신발은 좀 촌스럽고 웬지 리본은 하나도 귀엽지 않아. 그냥 보기 귀찮게만 하고 화나 - 보면은. 그래도 드레스는 나이스다, 진짜. 언니, 담에 그냥 어울리는 신발을 사지, 응!? ㅋㅋ

I really like this dress. Yet, the shoes are…umm…gross. The dress is a whiff of elegance in that it seems to flow down her form and on down the street with her, but these silver clogs with the big ribbons on them – eww. And although the bag isn’t hideous, it’s not a great choice, either. Sure, it’s not totally horrible, girlfriend, but you did go to the trouble to pick up that nice, billowy “one-piece” and try to put together an ensemble, so maybe think about the “feeling” of the different parts more? Just a friendly suggestion – otherwise, that dress is just fabu-loso!

Ouch. A bit scary…

All around us – sitting next to us on the subway, waiting behind us in line, walknig past us in the street – there are fascinating and remarkable people, yet we never stop to talk to them. Well, we do. And what we keep realizing that you should never judge a book by its cover. Most importantly, we realize that perfect strangers are often much more interesting that you might think, but are very much like you and me.

A sunday afternoon in Shinchon, July, 2007.

We spied these three friendly folks in Shinchon, looking cool and happy. Their cheer made us instantly able to ask them if we could take their picture, which they agreed to without hesitation. As we talked, we asked them what they did, and we found out that the pretty young woman in the yellow is a “racing model”, the sporty woman in the center performs in plays, and the hunky man on the right is a fashion model. They all had EXR paraphernalia – a brand in the racing clothing world – which they kindly put on for the mini-shoot we did.

They were cheery, friendly, and quite happy to talk with us, and our little encounter really made our day all the brighter.

Rock those arms, model man! And work that leather jacket, girl! You know you both got it!

The Sheila Driving Heel tucks up into the shoe and the result is a flat shoe. The concept is similar to those roller shoes, where you can release wheels from the sole. The motivation for the insurance company to come up with this convertible high heels concept is the fact that 10% of female UK drivers report that they had a car accident or a near-miss because of wrong footwear.
