fashion is fetish is fabulous is fun is fantastic!
I believe that a good outfit deserves to be documented, but I never imagined that anyone would make a hobby out of recording what they wear everyday. Recently I’ve come across some fantastic ways that people are keeping track of their fashion adventures and daily clothing concoctions–in fashion diaries–AND I LOVE IT!
On flickr there are communities of people who take, share, and comment on pictures of their outfits. One of my favorites is called wardrobe_remix. I particularly enjoy the members who include more information alongside their snapshots; where they bought it, where they took the picture, how they were feeling that day, or even the weather!

I looked like a lunatic in every single picture I tried to take of these clothes, so I just went with that.
This is what I wore to sit around and watch Stargate and Six Feet Under all day. Sigh. The scéal for wardrobe_remix:
Black string top, hairband, and red tights - Penneys.
Red string top - Dunnes.
Skirt - A-Wear.
Shoes - my sister.
Scarf - second-hand.
Sunglasses - don’t know, I’ve had them for ages. Undoubtedly somewhere cheap.
There are some bloggers out there that dedicate their whole site to the clothes they put on that morning. What a great way to document your life! I imagine this is a helpful when you can’t figure out what to wear or a third or fourth date with a new beau. You’d never have to wonder, “What did I wear last time I saw him?”
Beijing Baby tells her readers the temperature, every detail about her outfit, and then talks about what she did that day, what’s stressing her out and where she’s shopping these days. AND I love it!
More outfit diaries! MORE, MORE, MORE! I can’t get enough of these fashion diaries! I’m going to start a list of goodies. If you have one, or would like to recommend one to be added to the list, email me at [Email address: misskoco #AT# feetmanseoul.com - replace #AT# with @ ].
I really enjoy living in Seoul, but I miss living in New York City and I think about it every day. Luckily, I still have family and friends who live there to give me updates. My sister tells me that flats, in all different colors, with huge embellishments on the toe, are all the rage. She hates them and so do I, but then again we’re the type of girls who prefer stilettos over flats. Everyone has their own opinion and style, of course, but in our world, shoes go into one of two categories, HOT or NOT HOT.
I went into a store (that shall remain nameless) in Hyehwa that sells accessories, to check out what’s new for spring. To my delight, I came across a display filled with flip-flops. They want 17,000 KRW for the pair pictured below. I bought the exact same pair a couple years ago in NYC’s Chinatown on my way to a pedicure FOR $3! The same exact pair! Don’t be fooled ladies. These are cheap “disposable” flip-flops just marked up! WAY UP!
And here’s an interesting tidbit, in Australia flip-flops are called thongs.
