We here at FMS are pleased to announce a new partner in covering street fashion, CocoSwan! Our plan is to build a team of a few different partner sites — in Korea, “online shopping malls” that specialize in everyday fashion, run mostly by everyday, entrepreneurial folks — who literally define street fashion by continuously supplying it. These online shopping malls have a lot of similarities to the western-style online magazine that takes up most of OUR entrepreneurial energy, in that you have everyday people producing extraordinary content. The one difference is that we don’t sell anything, since we earn power through producing content that garners more readers; the Korean online shopping malls sell things. But they also do so by tracking trends, modeling clothes, and offering their own kind of content, which we can use. So, we plan to use their clothing on our models, and take heed of their trend-watching clues, while also occasionally using the two young ladies who already model their own clothing as models as well. It’s a win-win situation, we think, since they supply the content and clothes, we supply the readers and traffic, especially since 4/5 of our readership is outside of Korea.
And we’ve finally reached the 30,000+ unique visitors per month mark (meaning about 4-5 times that many raw “hits”), and with another deal we’re about to enter with a very major Internet player, we may very soon be several times even that in just a couple months. We’re looking hard to make the site more professional, diverse, and full of a broader range of content, even while deepening the quality of the content we already make. And this partnership will be one of many steps in that process. Wish us luck, keep reading, and pass the word about us here at www.FeetManSeoul.com!

That’s great news! i wish you all the best!
Now! On to the professional part…
I’m still waiting for the watermarks to go!
Patiently.
Sorry — watermarks are here too stay, especially in the Korean blogosphere, where bloggers don’t excerpt and quote, but bite content wholesale on their blogs. And many bloggers use our images — especially for Seoul Fashion Week — and “forget” to link back. Especially in Korea, it’s the only way to keep credit for our content, to the extent that we actively ENCOURAGE people bogarting our pics, as long as they’re watermarked. And we offer the images at such high resolutions, they can be printed without our permission, so the watermarks keep things honest that way, as well.
wow….impressive!!!
good luck with the partnerships..I hope everything works out well!

All right, you know I’ve gone on about the watermarks before. This is the last I’ll mention it.
Except to say, you might consider offering a wallpaper pack for people like me who would be willing to pay a few dollars to have a set of photos to use as computer wallpaper.
Now I checked out Coco Swan, very nice design, interesting execution, however the care that goes into FMS to make it as bilingual as possible is not there. And it’s not there where it needs to be – for the actually paying money part of the site.
If I were you I would have found someone to work closer with you. It would be the footman shop, the team would adhere to some of your standards but have total freedom otherwise. You could even set up your own network of shops, on the fms domain using WP MU, all of them operating independently but under your guidance.
This might be a bit more work, but you would insure the quality was high, increase visibility for the fms brand, and make more money.
