Get Ready for The Seoul Fashion Report!

띠엄띠엄이긴 하지만 2년을 넘게 준비해왔던 일이다. 이 비밀스런 계획이 드디어 실현되는 것이다. “The Seoul Fashion Report”는 너무 오랫동안 블로그 카테고리만에 있었다. www.seoulfashionreport.com 도 카테고리에 항상 링크되어있었지만 이제 오프라인의 포토북이 같은 이름으로 준비되었다. 인터텟 자료들이 드디어 유용하게 되었다.

또 하나의 목표가 거의 달성되어 간다. 다음달호 Eloqeunce(다음달부터는 반디앤루이스에서도 구할 수있다.)에도 전명광고로 실릴것이다. 이 광고를 위해 아래사진의 책 기본표지 디자인을 마무리해야했다. 물론, 2~3주내에 인쇄될 이 사진이 최종 결정된 커버가 아니지만 나와 Deelish가 생각해 왔던 것과 매우 가깝다. 우리 책은 크고 가로로

길쭉한 모양에 두껍고 푹신한 커버로 나올 것이다. 커버는 지난 시즌 트랜드에 맞추고 표현할려고 하였다. 깜찍한 60년대 복고풍 스타일로 표현한 것도 그 이유이다.

어쨌든, 광고가 이제 시작된다는 것이 매우 기쁘다. 하지만 책이 현재도 주문이 가능함에도 불구하고, 2월 초가 되야 광고가 시작된다. 광고를 다음주부터 시작해도 좋을텐데. 그러니 지갑들을 챙기고 세계 최초의 한국 패션북 지원을 준비하시라!!

This thing has been in the planning for more than two years, in a way, and the secret plan is finally coming to fruition. “The Seoul Fashion Report” has long been a category on the blog, and the URL “www.seoulfashionreport.com” has always pointed to that category. Now that the offline photo book of the same name is almost ready, that URL and stuff is gonna be put to good use.

And symbolically, we’ve reached yet another milestone — we’ll be putting up a full-page ad in the next issue of Eloquence (which will also be available in Bandi & Luni’s from next month). To that end, we had to finalize a basic book cover design, which you see here. Of course, it’s not the final cover as it will likely go to to press in 2-3 weeks, but it’s close to the concept both me and Deelish were seeing in our heads. The dimensions of the book will be LARGE, and the book will be in landscape format, with a sturdy soft cover. And the cover is intended to channel and celebrate the trends/mood of the past season, which is why we went with retro-60′s and cute fabulosity.

But we’re happy that advertising will start soon — but note that despite saying the books are available now, that ad is designed to be released at the beginning of February, by which time we’ll have already started taking pre-orders. That should happen as early as next week, so get them wallets ready to support the world’s first book about Korean fashion!
