fashion is fetish is fabulous is fun is fantastic!
“Street Styles” tracks not just individual fashion choices, but tries to capture fashion that is representative of types of fashion genres visible on the Korean streets.
This Christmas season, the must-have item is the bear hat, courtesy of Paris Baguette. And if you are a couple, a matching pair is the way to go. This couple is the quintessential Seoul Christmas couple, since they’re not only rocking the hats, but have a Christmas cake in tow, as well as a little bit of candy, a lollipop that looks freshly picked from a Dr. Seuss Christmas tree. All items, it appears, that you can find in the original commercial.
Actually, Lee Na-young kind of scares me. It’s the eyes, man – the eyes! A lot of Koreans are afraid of cats, right? They say it’s the eyes. Well, I’m afraid of Lee Na-young. But she does a great job in this commercial, with her comically flexible face and cutesy poses. Perfect for this kind of commercial. But if Lee Na-young snuck up behind me on Christmas, I’d certainly faint just like they did in the commercial, but it wouldn’t be because of the hat; it’s the eyes, the eyes!!! Anyway – all kidding aside, Merry Christmas to all!

I must confess…I’ve always wanted one of those animal hats!! ;.;
Good luck! I tried to get one of them today and the girl in the Paris Baguette looked at me like I was crazy. They were given out if one bought 18,000 or more of stuff (basically, a Christmas cake), but the stock in any store was loooong depleted as they quickly became must-have items here in Korea. You were definitely lucky if you could get your hands on one Christmas Eve.
Frankly, they’re cute and highly functional. And “free” — well, technically. But since you’re gonna buy a Christmas cake if you want to be considered human in Korea, you might as buy it from Paris Baguette, right? Then you get the coveted “bear hat.”
A great marketing move by Paris Baguette. Really nice.
You don’t like Lee Na-Young’s eyes? That’s exactly WHY I like her! Same for Bae Doo-Na. The eyes.
These were so adorable, but hey, once too many people are wearing something, it loses its specialness. I really get aggravated when I spot someone with the same thing I have.
