I think we need to give these kids way more credit than saying that they're trying to be like fashion in Harajuku. First, Harajuku ain't punk. Harajuku is Harajuku, with it's own styles, trends, and aesthetics. And these kids were definitely punk, doing more than just dressing up for rock concerts. This is something they do every day, and from talking to them I know that they were serious about punk as a way of life. And as for mixing hardrock with punk ~ well, both styles have historically done more than a little borrowing and influencing each other. And they were going to a ROCK concert, not a punk rock concert so I found their nod to the genre to be cool, not mixing messages. After all, isn't punk all about defying what we're told to do and defining our own space? There's a pretty long history of extreme makeup coming from punk, too, so it's not out of line either. It didn't look silly at all in real life, but rather a weird, sweet, but very punk makeup statement. These kids knew what they were about, and they'll keep doing their own thing. No trips to Tokyo needed!^^

I think it's great that, finally, Koreans are learning from Tokyo's Harajuku lessons, and starting to "freak out" in a very good way. Be whatever you want to be, without disrespecting others. This is why it's great to walk in Tokyo's streets: you just dress as you wish, nobody cares. If this is the beginning for the Hangugk Sarams, great!
But...mixing Sex Pistols style with Kiss is definetely a NO! Punk with Old-school-hardrock??? No way, doesn't match. And the cat moustache is really childish...
Hey, but it's a beginning! They will learn (they just need to go more on vacations to Tokyo)!
