알어알어. 이런 패션은 오트쿠튀르아닌 걸 알아요. 그리고 원래 그런 한국스러운 얌전하고 너무 여성스러운 룩을 안좋아했어요. 근데 한국에서 살면서 좀 익숙해진 것같고 웬지 내가 갖고 있었던 앤티얌전함을 좀 잃어버린 것같네요.
그래서 이 연두색 원피스를 봤을 때 웬지 맘에 든 거예요. 알어알어! 촌스럽다고 생각할 사람들이 많이 있을 걸. 그래도 나름대로 레트로쿨인 것같아요. 물론 그 하늘색 가방 빼고. ㅋㅋ

I know that this isn’t the height of fashion, but why do I like this dress? I know I shouldn’t, but I’ve gotten used to the cutesy, 60′s look in Korea, and I like the idea of outfits in general. The bag kinda kills it, though – she was already so green and white – why’d not continue the theme and complete the look?
But this is definitely a Korean look, and one that has its own kind of appeal and charm, once you get used to it and understand the personality that seems to go with it. I’ve been here too long, and am dedicated too much to reporting all the trends I can glean from the street to deny this style’s holding power and presence on the street.
But does anyone think they know why she chose the blue-and-white bag? Any thoughts out there?

미쳤어요! (^^; 농답인거 아시죠?) 다소 복고적이라 해야하나.. 개성이 상당히 강한 사람같네요.. 왠지 낸시 랭 같은 느낌의 그런 사람? 매니큐어 색깔이라던지 립스틱 색깔도 상당히 강렬한 것 같네요.
she looks hideous! green scarf with green dress?? white tights that make ur legs look huge paired with white shoes?? the only good thing is that at least her outfit is a color other than white, brown, gray or black that koreans seem to really love…
I don’t understand the big hoopla about the bag. The color goes perfectly with the entire outfit. A green bag and she would have been too green. And white bag and she would have been too white. It’s all about balance and coordination and this woman does it perfectly, even though she’s wearing something I wouldn’t be caught dead in. I love the fit of her dress and the style. Add in her confidence and this woman is making this outfit look fierce. I would wear it in a different color combination, something a little less pop.
I guess I was feeling sheepish for liking the lime.

The color is marvelous, and I actually dig both the bag and the scarf with it . . . although I’d be happier with the bag if I could confirm that there’s a blue print on those shoes . . .maybe? Please let there be a blue print, so I don’t have to add the shoes to the tragic list. And the tragic list is bad. The tights – those don’t even qualify as stockings. They look like what I wore to ballet class and for family christmas portraits in fancy dress when I was five years old. Bad. But the thing that really hurts here is the cut of the dress – the bottom half is fine, but the top half is not fitted right at all, and makes the dress look worse than I think it really could be. Fitted better I’d be more enthusiastic . . .
but the color really is a breath of fresh air!
