I just think the outfit is tired.

Now this is a fashion blog and it's documenting the trends out there, so it doesn't have to be "right". It does reflect a look I see way too much in Korea, particularly in Seoul.

To me, it doesn't really indicate a fashion sense as much as it's just confusion. Clearly, she's trying for sexy but I see a lot of looks in Korea that are straight trashy. I understand why they were them: the men respond. Trashy is a form of sexy, it's just not unique, innovative or classy.

Trashy ain't fashion and this is trashy.

i love the whole outfit..except for the baseball hat (too busy looking with all the mini accesories on the lettering)
I agree with joanna's opinion about wearing a newsboy or bakerboy caps.
It will definetly look good..

Ha! I love that word, "spexy". As for this girl's outfit, I'm really not feeling it. Maybe its her outdated shoes or that Yankees hat. Or maybe it's both. There's a way to look "spexy" without having to resort to professional sports teams merchandise. Her shirt is really voluminous and the hat ruins the outfit because it's a little too sporty and a little too casual. Maybe if she wore a more fashion oriented hat (i.e. newsboy cap, bakerboy caps, etc) in a different color, it could work. Or maybe if she was more color coordinated or wore a completely different outfit, the Yankees cap could work.

Her shoes really aren't doing it for me. The style is just so...late 90's and early 2000 and although it's black, it doesn't really go with the ensemble. The main thing lacking in this entire outfit is contrast. Like you said in the post, her shirt is casual, her shoes are "casual" (or dull in my opinion), her skirt is casual, and so is her hat. The colors contrast, but badly. I hate the look of light denim (the skirt) with dark colors (the shoes and hat).

BTW, I really adore these street fashion posts. Keep up the great work!
