I believe that a good outfit deserves to be documented, but I never imagined that anyone would make a hobby out of recording what they wear everyday. Recently I’ve come across some fantastic ways that people are keeping track of their fashion adventures and daily clothing concoctions–in fashion diaries–AND I LOVE IT!

On flickr there are communities of people who take, share, and comment on pictures of their outfits. One of my favorites is called wardrobe_remix. I particularly enjoy the members who include more information alongside their snapshots; where they bought it, where they took the picture, how they were feeling that day, or even the weather!

This user, Chowburger, wrote:

I looked like a lunatic in every single picture I tried to take of these clothes, so I just went with that.
This is what I wore to sit around and watch Stargate and Six Feet Under all day. Sigh.

The scéal for wardrobe_remix:
Black string top, hairband, and red tights - Penneys.
Red string top - Dunnes.
Skirt - A-Wear.
Shoes - my sister.
Scarf - second-hand.
Sunglasses - don’t know, I’ve had them for ages. Undoubtedly somewhere cheap.

There are some bloggers out there that dedicate their whole site to the clothes they put on that morning. What a great way to document your life! I imagine this is a helpful when you can’t figure out what to wear or a third or fourth date with a new beau. You’d never have to wonder, “What did I wear last time I saw him?”

Beijing Baby tells her readers the temperature, every detail about her outfit, and then talks about what she did that day, what’s stressing her out and where she’s shopping these days. AND I love it!
